A well organized book. It could have been a text book. There are a sufficient number of dispersion of black and white plates through 350 pages. This book has many references with appendices starting on page 213.

It seems difficult to find personal information about the author John Willett. However, we find his name on many books on the Weimar Republic. Sometimes it is the introducer.

It's a little sad to the thing that even though this time was captured in the movies that the theatre of that time has come and gone. Yet one can learn what works from the history of the Theatre tea of the Weimar Republic.
